Forsyth, Ga.   January 29, 1987

After hearing about what happened in Forsyth the week before, and thinking about it for a week, four of us made the decision to stop talking and do something.  We left Clearwater at 1:00 am and arrived in Forsyth just ahead of the sun.  I remember how the snow sparkled in the early morning light, and how it had turned to a forbidding slush by the end of day.
